PARIS — Givaudan plans to take readers on a multisensory journey with its upcoming anthology, called “An Odyssey of Flavours and Fragrances.”
Conceived with publishing houses Abrams in the United States and Éditions de La Martinière in France, the 242-page book is meant to capture the Swiss supplier’s savoir-faire that’s been honed for almost 250 years.
Various authors, including Brigitte Proust, Annick Le Guérer and Caroline Champion, analyze the philosophical, historical, scientific and literary aspects of the fragrance and flavors industries.
“The foods we savor and the fragrances that surround and delight us are at the heart of what it is to be human,” stated Gilles Andrier, chief executive officer of Givaudan. “This book is our invitation to everyone to discover the profound impact smell and taste has on so many facets of our life.”
An exhibition of the book and the images it contains will travel to various Givaudan sites around the world for employees, customers and the media to see.
