International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. said Wednesday that it has realigned its Fragrance Business Unit, effective Tuesday.
According to Nicolas Mirzayantz, group president of fragrances for IFF, the move blends IFF’s creative and commercial teams into the new Consumer Fragrances and Fine Fragrance categories. The Consumer Fragrance unit will include fabric care, home care, personal wash, hair care and toiletries. Fine Fragrances will be a stand-alone category.
Jean-François Dupont, vice president, Global Functional Fragrances, will transition his current responsibilities to Christophe de Villeplee and assume a part-time role until his retirement in the second quarter of 2015. De Villeplee, currently vice president, Global Fine Fragrances & Beauty Care, is promoted to the newly created role of vice president, Global Consumer Fragrances. Bertrand Lemont, vice president and creative director, Category Functional Fragrances, is promoted to the newly created role of vice president, Global Fine Fragrances.
Mirzayantz noted that de Villeplee and Lemont will have responsibility for strategy, business development and creative execution within their business units.
