Phoebe Ellis’ entry into the world of scents makes perfect sense. The daughter of Adrian Ellis, founder of fragrance company Riviera Concepts, Phoebe fused her love of adventure and perfumery by starting her own brand, Seven Skies. “I want to get young women interested in fragrance, something expressive, a bit different,” she says.

The brand is designed to be an olfactive scrapbook of Ellis’ adventures and travels. The first four scents were inspired by specific places that have played a role in her life. Chelsea Girls is a nod to the London nightlife, for example, Free Love to Ellis’ time in Thailand, and Belle Histoire her time spent studying at the Sorbonne in paris.

“You grow while you’re traveling,” says Ellis, 25. “It’s like taking a colorful photograph and translating it into scent.”

The packaging was designed by Ellis’ friend, graphic artist, Radim Malinic. “A lot of perfumes come in boring boxes,” says Ellis. “I wanted mine to look like a gift.”
