Joel B. Ronkin is headed to Fekkai Brands and Luxe Brands as chief executive officer.
In his new role, effective Dec. 1, Ronkin will be tasked with overseeing the growth of the Fekkai hair-care brand and salon business, and the global expansion of the Luxe portfolio, which largely consists of fragrance brands.
He joins the company from Elizabeth Arden Inc., where he spent 16 years in various leadership roles. He resigned from his current post of president of global fragrances on Nov. 12.
At Fekkai and Luxe, Ronkin will be joined by Amy Sachs, a colleague at Arden. Sachs, Arden’s senior vice president of mid-tier, chain and drugstores, will assume the role of chief commercial officer at Fekkai and Luxe.
Tony Bajaj, a manager of Fekkai and Luxe, stated, “We have worked with and known Joel for many years. After acquiring Fekkai in June of this year, we immediately identified Joel as the perfect person to partner with us as we look to take Fekkai and Luxe to the next level. Also, we see this as a great opportunity to further strengthen our already strong and long-standing relationship with Elizabeth Arden, particularly as it pertains to the distribution of some of the brands in our fragrance portfolio.”
Dilesh Mehta, also a manager at the company, added, “We could not be more excited to be partnering with Joel and Amy as we work to build the Fekkai and Luxe Brands into global beauty players.”
