Hennessy noted fine jewelry is in line with the luxury positioning of the Kilian fragrance brand. He and Novick (whose work he described as “edgy but chic at the same time”) are friends who long wanted to work together.
“When Paige came up with the idea of a deconstructed bullet, where every piece of the bullet [seems to be weightless, suspended by] a pearl, there is a contrast between fragility and violence that I love,” said Hennessy.
The Paige Novick for Kilian range includes a pair of earrings, a ring, two necklaces and a choker with diamonds, pearls and vermeil charms. Each model contains a tiny ceramic piece (held in a cage) that can be spritzed with scent.
The jewelry will be sold in Kilian’s boutiques in Paris, New York, Moscow, Doha and Lugano, Switzerland, and in Bergdorf Goodman and Harrods. Prices range from $2,200 for the bracelet to $8,000 for the special-order choker.
