Marc Jacobs has tapped model-actress Adriana Lima as the face of his latest fragrance, Decadence, due this fall. An antithesis to the designer’s sunny and sweet Daisy pillar, Decadence is intended to be over-the-top — complete with a sensuous shot of Lima in a boudoir setting with rich greens and golds.
“It’s about a good girl planning to be decadent,” explained Lori Singer, group vice president of global marketing at Coty Inc., the designer’s scent licensee. “It’s very high quality, opulent, very elegant and sophisticated. Daisy is more casual and whimsical and naïve. This fragrance will elevate the elegance of the entire house of Marc Jacobs fragrances.” As well, Lima appears in Jacobs’ current ready-to-wear advertising.
Jacobs will also dress Lima for — and escort her to — the Met Ball on Monday, May 4.
