Matteo Renzi Expected to Visit ICR on Wednesday

Italy's prime minister will tour ICR, which produces fragrances for brands including Bulgari, Salvatore Ferragamo and Ungaro, and attend a cornerstone laying ceremony of the new, extended plant.

OFFICIAL VISIT: Matteo Renzi will pay tribute to Italy’s beauty industry as well as the fashion world on Wednesday.

As reported, Italy’s prime minister will attend a lunch with designers and top executives in Milan to officially inaugurate the city’s women’s fashion week that day and, ahead of that event, Renzi is expected to visit the sprawling production site of ICR. The Italian company produces fragrances for brands including Bulgari, Salvatore Ferragamo and Ungaro and is located in Lodi, about 25 miles south of Milan. Renzi will tour ICR with founder Roberto Martone, who is planning to expand the site by an additional 97,200 square feet. The visit includes Renzi’s participation at the cornerstone laying ceremony.

ICR has recently hired 182 more employees.
