On-demand beauty service provider Vênsette, which specializes in high-end hair and makeup services, is teaming with luxury hair tool company GHD for a six-month exclusive partnership, beginning Tuesday.
Vênsette’s 200 artists in New York, Los Angeles, Miami and San Francisco will use GHD tools on clients requiring hair services.
This is Vênsette’s first hair-related partnership, said Lauren Remington Platt, chief executive officer and founder of Vênsette. The company just wrapped up a six-month partnership with high-end color cosmetics brand Clé de Peau, added Platt.
“GHD tools are the ones I use myself, so I wanted to bring them to everyone who uses our service,” she said.
“The artists will be using our new GHD Platinum Styler, which provides great flexibility,” said Francesca Raminella, North American president of GHD. “We have a patented wishbone hinge which allows stylists to straighten, curl and wave hair, with less breakage.” Vênsette stylists will also use GHD hairdryers and curling irons.
Clients can book Vênsette either online or on its app, and because bookings can be done on two different platforms, the company is growing 400 percent year-over-year. The number of clients doubled in the fourth quarter of 2014 and the company has a total reach of 100,000 subscribers in four markets, Platt said. She also rolled out Vênsette Weddings, a service not just for brides but for bridesmaids, mothers-of-the-bride and others, earlier this summer. A third service, Vênsette VIP, provides multihour services.
