Inspired by Sixties Americana, the beauty at Anna Sui brought a pop of color to the vintage look.
Creating a matching eye and lip, Pat McGrath, who led makeup for Cover Girl, interpreted the inspiration with the use of burgundy. “It’s all about this slight decadent, transparent burgundy eye and also on the lips,” she said. “It’s a little rebellious.” McGrath matched the eye and lip to modernize the vintage Americana aesthetic, creating an effortless cool look that popped against the sheer foundation on the skin. To get the soft burgundy color, McGrath first applied a wine-stain colored lipstick to the eyes and lips, and then mixed in a nude contour palette to mute the color. The look was completed with a bit of mascara to bring more emphasis to the eye.

(Criss previously starred on “Glee,” another Murphy creation, although they didn’t directly work together.) “I feel like I’ve already won the lottery.” Read more in WWD.com (📸: @lexieblacklock ) #wwdeye #darrencriss #americancrimestory #emmys2018
