Italian beauty giant Kiko Milano renovated its partnership with British designer Ross Lovegrove for a limited-edition collection for the Holiday season. After the collaborations in April for the spring trend collection and in August for the Neo Noir themed one, the brand called once again on the designer to deliver new package concepts for its festive capsule collection, which will retail starting in November both in Italy and the U.S.
Inspired by the shape of roses, Lovegrove created a series of polished packages in the tones of fiery red and nickel. Combining nature, design and technology, Lovegrove conceived graphic, three-dimensional matte surfaces to enclose the brand’s wide range of make up offerings.
These include the 2-in-1 Bronzer & Highlighter powder, available both in gold and rose nuances; the Double Color Baked Blush; the Volumizing Effect Mascara with a curved brush, and the Fine Line Eyeliner, all of which will be running through the end of December and retailing at 25 euros, 18 euros, 10 euros and 7 euros, or $27, $20, $11 and $8 at current exchange, respectively.
A standout piece of the collection, the Intense Color Lip Kit combines a lipstick and a pencil available both in matte and shiny nuances, for a total of 12 color options, which will hit the stores gradually, every two weeks, at the price of 15 euros, or $17. Details like magnetic components in the lipstick’s case highlight the functional features Lovegrove added to the packages.

Also new, a scent called Velvet Passion has been included in the capsule collection. The head note is red rose, the same element that served as inspiration to Lovegrove to realize the bottle’s design. White wood and oud complete the fragrance’s formula, showcased in a 100-ml. format for 33 euros, or $36.
A series of products will also feature in the collection for two weeks only, such as the glitter nail lacquers in silver rose, gold and red tones and the 3-in-1 Eyeshadow & Eye Pencil.
An additional week is granted for the Special Effects Nail Lacquer Kit, which lines up six nail polishes and two special top coats with pearl and soft-touch finishes; the Eyeshadow Palette, made of nine colors; and the Professional Brush Kit, which counts five brushes for face, lips and eyes, enveloped in a red case. Hitting the stores in December, the prices for these kits range from 24 to 35 euros, or $26 to $38.
Kiko Milano counts 896 shops distributed in 18 countries, in addition to its online store covering 36 countries.
