Family-owned and operated candle company, Paddywax, is gearing up for the New Year with new hand washes and room sprays in January.

The $18 products, which symbolize new categories for the company, are meant to complement the brand’s current candle collections. The Relish range, which is inspired by vintage storage jars, will consist of nine different hand washes. The Eco assortment, a recycled collection promoting social responsibility, will include ten hand washes. And inspired by pharmaceuticals, the apothecary collection will be comprised of eight room sprays.

In addition, Paddywax will launch its signature with a new line of candles called The Happy Collection in small and large sizes for $10 and $20. Inspired by spontaneous gift giving, these 10 scents will be packaged with a quote that serves as a pick-me-up. “They all have cheeky little quotes on them so it’s one of those impulse things,” said Gretchen Hollingsworth, founder of Paddywax. For example, the Salted Grapefruit candle includes one of Joan Crawford’s musings, “I believe in the dollar. Everything I earn, I spend!”

Boasting 17 collections, Paddywax was created by Hollingsworth in her kitchen right out of college. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, the company’s retail distribution is comprised of 2,500 doors across the U.S. in stores like West Elm, Urban Outfitters and Whole Foods. Additionally, it is also distributed in Japan, the U.K., and Australia with plans for even more expansion throughout South America and China.

While brand executives declined comment on projected sales, industry sources estimated that the new additions and candle collection could do upward of $1 million in its first year on counter.
