• TALBOTS’ STORE HEAD: John Fiske, most recently executive vice president of human resources and administration at The Talbots Inc., has been named executive vice president and chief stores officer of the Hingham, Mass.-based specialty retailer. He will take over the duties of Michele Mandell, who last week retired after 26 years with the firm. In his new role, Fiske will continue to report to Trudy F. Sullivan, president and chief executive officer, and will oversee all Talbots retail operations in the U.S. and Canada. Additionally, he will set the strategic direction of the retailer’s new upscale outlet business that will launch this May.

• GENEVA HEADS TO MANHATTAN: The Geneva Watch Co. Inc., which makes such brands as BCBG Max Azria, Betsey Johnson, Kenneth Cole New York and Tommy Bahama watches, will move its corporate showroom and offices to 1407 Broadway from Long Island City, N.Y. The company signed a 10-year lease with the Kaufman Organization Ltd. for 32,359 square feet on the fourth floor for $52 a square foot.
