• UNDER ARMOUR BEEFS UP MANAGEMENT TEAM: Under Armour Inc. has reached into the sports marketing world for its newest hire. Mark Dowley, most recently chief executive officer of William Morris Endeavor Marketing, has been named executive vice president of global brand and president of the company’s international division. At the same time, Kip Fulks, who has been with Under Armour since its founding and served most recently as senior vice president of outdoor and innovation, has been promoted to executive vice president of product for the Baltimore-based apparel brand. Both Dowley and Fulks report to Kevin Plank, founder and ceo of Under Armour. Dowley, who has also served as ceo of Interpublic Sports and Entertainment Group, vice chairman of McCann-Erickson World Group and ceo of Momentum Worldwide, will oversee brand marketing, sports marketing, consumer insights and strategy for Under Armour. He will also oversee the company’s business in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Peter Mahrer, president and managing director of Under Armour Europe, has left the company. Fulks will oversee the company’s apparel, footwear, accessories, innovation and outdoor businesses.
