Asian shares ended mostly lower Wednesday, trailing U.S. markets’ negative performance the day before as oil prices dropped.
Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 fell 0.9 percent to end at 15,916 while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng dropped 1.2 percent to finish at 19,193. Shanghai’s SSE rose 0.9 percent to end at 2,929.
Retail stocks had a rough session. Shiseido finished 1.4 percent to end at 2,408 yen while Fast Retailing dropped 2 percent to finish at 31,320 yen. Li & Fung lost 3.1 percent to end at 4.40 Hong Kong dollars.
