Asian shares rallied Wednesday on higher oil prices.
Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 rose 1.6 percent to end at 16,757 while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng gained 2.7 percent to finish at 20,368. Shanghai’s SSE did not fare as well, it inched down 0.2 percent to close at 2,815.
Chow Tai Fook gained 2.6 percent to close at 5.18 Hong Kong dollars. I.T, which said Wednesday its full-year earnings dropped 33 percent, grew 1.1 percent to 1.88 Hong Kong dollars.
Global Brands bucked the positive trend and shed 1.3 percent to close at .770 Hong Kong dollars.
