The deal, which is effective July 1, will keep the brand in its existing distribution, currently just under 200 specialty store doors in the U.S., including Barneys New York, Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue.
“Annick Goutal is one of the most luxurious fragrance brands in the lifestyle fragrance realm,” said Nicholas Munafo, president of BPI USA. “Its artisinal scents are of the highest quality and the brand has always faithfully maintained traditions integral to its core values, while raising the bar with each product launch. BPI’s proven strategy of growing distinctive, high-end fragrance brands in limited distribution makes us well-positioned to maximize the brand’s significant potential in the U.S. market.”
According to Brigitte Taittinger, president of Annick Goutal, “Since the creation of the brand, the U.S. market has always been our first export market.”
