Caché Inc. widened its net loss for the third quarter.

For the three months ended Sept. 27, the net loss was $12.5 million, or 41 cents a diluted share, from a net loss of $9.5 million, or 45 cents, a year ago. Sales slipped 2.5 percent to $46.1 million from $47.2 million. The company had 14 more stores a year ago. The year-ago figures were adjusted to reflect a change in accounting principle at the end of 2013. Comparable-store sales inched up 0.2 percent, on top of the 6 percent gain a year ago.

Jay Margolis, chairman and chief executive officer, said, “At the beginning of third quarter 2014, we re-launched our new website and experienced issues related to the launch which had an adverse impact on our e-commerce channel during the qurter. We have now worked through most of these issues and our e-commerce business has returned to positive comps. Notably, we have continued to see positive trends in all channels in October.”
