Tel Aviv-based Delta Galil said second quarter net income for the three months ended June 30 rose to $9.8 million, or or 38 cents a share, from $8.8 million, or 35 cents, a year ago. Net sales rose 6.3 percent to $249.2 million from $234.4 million. For the six months, net income jumped 23.3 percent to $19.1 million on a sales gain of 5.5 percent to $487.2 million.
Isaac Dabah, chief executive officer, said the strong results were “sustained by organic growth across nearly all of our business segments.” The company manufactures branded and private label apparel for men, women and children.
Dabah noted that the company is well on its way to its first year of $1 billion in annual sales volume. The company already hit that mark when counting the last four quarters ended June 30.
