LONDON — European stock markets were on the rise in mid-morning trading on Friday, with the exception of the FTSE MIB in Milan, which fell 0.7 percent to 16,912.11.

The CAC 40 in Paris advanced 0.8 percent to 4,473.54, followed by the FTSE 100 in London, 0.7 percent to 6,795.48. The DAX in Frankfurt rose 0.2 percent to 10,558.53.

The euro traded at $1.11, while the pound fetched $1.32, and the Swiss franc equaled $1.01 at 10:45 a.m. CET. The Danish kronor was at $0.14.

Retail and luxury stocks were mixed. The morning’s biggest risers were Beiersdorf AG, up 2.1 percent to 82.87 euros; Metro AG, 1.6 percent to 27.33 euros; and French Connection Group, 1.5 percent to 0.48 pounds.

Among the stocks that lost ground were MySale Group, down 2.9 percent to 0.81 pounds; Koovs, 2.5 percent to 0.60 pounds; and Debenhams, 2 percent to 0.60 pounds.
