LONDON — European stock markets were uneven in morning trading on Thursday.

The DAX in Frankfurt rose 0.3 percent to 10,676.15, followed by the CAC 40 in Paris, up 0.2 percent to 4,529.94. The FTSE 100 in London dipped 0.9 percent to 7,015.69, while the FTSE MIB in Milan was broadly flat at 17,041.80.

The euro traded at $1.09 and the pound fetched $1.22 at 11:00 a.m. CET.

Retail and luxury stocks were uneven, with the morning’s biggest gainers including Mulberry Group, 5.36 percent to 11.05 pounds; Zalando, 2.1 percent to 40.85 euros, and French Connection Group, 1.8 percent to 0.31 pounds.

Among the morning’s biggest fallers were Britain’s Bonmarche Holdings, 7.2 percent to 0.83 pounds; Koovs, 2.8 percent to 0.70 pounds, and Gemfields, 2.1 percent to 0.47 pounds.
