NEW YORK — Financo Inc. promoted William D. Busko 2nd to managing director from director and named Reyaz A. Kassamali as a director.
Both report to chairman and chief executive officer Gilbert W. Harrison and president and chief operating officer William S. Susman.
Busko joined Financo’s merger and acquisitions group in 2002. His responsibilities include client marketing, deal team leadership and transaction execution. He has extensive experience across corporate divestitures, the sale of private and public companies and general advisory mandates, including acquisitions, fairness opinions and stock repurchase programs. Since he’s been with Financo, Busko has advised numerous consumer and retail clients including The Container Store, Corral West Ranchwear, Gottschalks, Innovative Stone, Joe Boxer and Ollie’s Bargain Outlet. Before Financo, he was a principal in the M&A group at Banc of America Securities.
Kassamali joins Financo from Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, a global investment bank. He will be responsible for expanding Financo’s client base and executing transactions. At Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, he was a director in the retail group, where he advised clients such as Wal-Mart, The Home Depot, Best Buy and The Athlete’s Foot, as well as private equity funds.
