PARIS — Swiss fragrance and flavors maker Firmenich reported sales in its fiscal year ended June 30 rose 2 percent to 2.95 billion Swiss francs, or $3.27 billion, spurred by all business segments and geographic regions.
In the 12-month period, the Geneva-based firm’s revenues advanced 7 percent on a constant-currency basis.
Dollar figures are converted at average exchange rates for the period in question.
During its last fiscal year, Firmenich inaugurated a new flavors manufacturing facility near Jakarta, Indonesia; a development center in Mumbai to service Asia; and new offices in Guanghzhou, China.
The company invested 10 percent of its annual sales into research and filed 23 patent applications.
Firmenich said it made “solid progress” on all tracked environmental indicators, bringing it closer to its sustainability goals set for 2015. The firm also said it has also improved its safety performance by 37 percent.
