NEW YORK — For the fourth time in the last three months, The He-Ro Group has rescheduled its annual meeting, this time until “the second week in March,” a company spokeswoman said last week. A specific date has not been set, she said.
The company had most recently set Jan. 14 for its annual stockholder gathering. It had previously set meetings for Oct. 28 and Nov. 18. The company has been struggling to reach an agreement with its lenders. According to sources, He-Ro is close to reaching such an agreement.
As noted, the company has downsized considerably since the death in September of its founder and chairman, Herbert Rounick. Licensed dress and suit divisions under the Oscar de la Renta, Bill Blass, Bob Mackie and J.G. Hook labels have been discontinued, and the firm is focusing on its core Black Tie by Oleg Cassini and Niteline divisions.
