Group sales at Hennes & Mauritz, including VAT, increased by 8 percent in local currencies in June, compared with the same month the previous year. The total number of stores amounted to 4,095, compared with 3,642 on June 30 last year.
As reported, sales including VAT, increased 5 percent to 104.97 billion in the first half, or $12.56 billion. In local currencies, they grew 7 percent, H&M said.
The company provided no further comment on Friday, except to say that it would report July sales in the middle of August.
