PARIS — Hennes & Mauritz AB said total sales in local currencies rose 15 percent in December, an improvement on the previous month.

 

The Swedish fashion retailer provided only a percentage figure, and no longer breaks out same-store sales data. Total sales include value-added taxes.

In November, sales rose 10 percent, following a 14 percent gain in October. Sales in local currencies rose 10 percent in December 2013.

 

H&M noted its store count came to 3,537 on Dec. 31 versus 3,176 on the same date in 2013.

 

The fast-fashion group is slated to publish full-year results on Jan. 28.
