PARIS — Hennes & Mauritz AB said same-store sales advanced 3 percent in January. The Swedish retail giant’s revenues in local currencies, including VAT, gained 12 percent in the month.
The January figure represents a slight slowdown from December, when same-store sales increased 4 percent.
H&M reported percentages only, and will publish its first-quarter revenues on March 15, and profits on March 29.
As of Jan. 31, H&M operated 2,488 stores versus 2,210 units a year ago.
