PARIS – Hennes & Maurtiz said comparable store sales in November fell 4 percent, underlining the difficult retailing environment in the lead-up to the important end-of-the-year selling period.
Overall, sales in the month grew 7 percent as the Swedish fast-fashion giant continued to open stores.
For the year through November, H&M said comparable store sales have slowed one percent. They have grown 11 percent overall, buoyed by new stores.
Last month, H&M reported a 2 percent drop in comparable store sales.
