WAL-MART SALES: Wal-Mart Stores Inc. said Saturday that sales at U.S. stores open at least a year rose about 4 percent in February. On a recording, Wal-Mart said food outperformed general merchandise, and the Southeast was the strongest region. The firm said sales toward the end of last week slowed in the Northeast due to snow. Wal-Mart also said it has seen good initial demand for Easter items. The company will report its official February results on Thursday.
