PARIS — Inter Parfums SA said first-quarter sales rose 33.4 percent, boosted by performances from its current brands — notably Lanvin, Jimmy Choo and Montblanc — and higher-than-expected revenues from Burberry.

Sales for the Paris-based subsidiary of Inter Parfums Inc. reached 147.9 million euros, or $189.6 million, in the three months ended March 31. At constant exchange, revenues increased 34.5 percent.

On a like-for-like basis, excluding the Burberry business, Inter Parfums SA sales in the quarter gained 14.6 percent to 64.8 million euros, or $83.1 million, which the company described as “in line with initial forecasts.”

As reported, Burberry took back its beauty business on March 31.

Dollar figures are converted to euros at average exchange for the period to which they refer.

Inter Parfums SA said it expects sales this year to be higher than 300 million euros, or $391.7 million at current exchange.
