NEW BEGINNINGS – Italian Fashion manufacturer Ittierre SpA has hit the restart button.
The Isernia-based company, which in the past held licenses for the production of the collections of brands such as Versace, Roberto Cavalli and Dolce & Gabbana, is now relaunching as Le Fabbriche Riunite. Italian investment firm IKF Holding, which specializes in the revitalization of troubled companies, acquired the firm in 2015, after Ittierre wrecked up a total debt of 88.7 million euros, or $120 million at average exchange rate by 2013 and was looking for investors.
Now the firm is back with 50 people on staff in the historic manufacturing site in Pettoranello in southern Italy. This will handle the prototyping and industrialization of the collections of Mary Katrantzou, Arthur Arbesser and Piccione.
The first fruits of the collaboration between the manufacturing company and the brands were shown last month when the labels unveiled their fall 2016 collections.
