Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc. is acquiring NeoStrata Co. Inc., a developer of Alpha hydroxy acids.
NeoStrata develops and markets a handful of antiaging technologies, including skin-care lines NeoStrata, Exuviance and Psorent, as well as cosmetics business CoverBlends.The business launched two new peel products, Exuviance Firm-NG6 Non-Acid Peel and Exuviance Daily Acne Peel, in August. NeoStrata’s distribution includes Ulta.com, Dermstore.com, Beauty.com and other websites. Industry sources estimated sales for the brand are around $100 million.

Johnson & Johnson Consumer produces skin-care brands Neutrogena, Roc, Clean & Clear, Aveeno, Lubriderm and a handful of other brands.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval.
