The transaction stands to expand educational programs and business development, among other initiatives, for the hair care brand in the U.K. and Irish markets. Current brand and sales management there will be integrated into the Estée Lauder Cos. Lauder’s customer service, order processing and shipping departments will manage Bumble and bumble.
Lauder executives praised Paul Windle, owner and president of Comptons, for establishing the Bumble and bumble business in the U.K. and Ireland over the past decade. Windle, who introduced Bumble and bumble to the U.K., has a namesake Covent Garden salon, which will remain an integral part of the Bumble and bumble network, according to Lauder.
