Is the Fossil Group Inc. looking to go deeper into ecommerce?
The company said Mauria Finley has joined its board of directors. Finley was the founder and chief executive officer of Citrus Lane, a social- and ecommerce platform aimed at parents. It was acquired by Care.com last year, and Finley has since retired. Prior to Citrus Lane, Finley served in various roles at eBay and PayPal. Finley is considered a strategic executor of social media and online retailing.
Kosta N. Kartsotis, chairman and ceo of Fossil, said Finley’s “successful track record of growing companies through digital experiences and social media platforms will prove invaluable as we continue to position the company to compete in the omni-channel age of retail.”
The company said that with Finley’s appointment, the board of directors now consists of 12 members, who include nine independent directors, two former members of its senior management team and one current member of its senior management.
