NEW YORK — New Generation Computing Inc. said it is opening an office here and that it hired textile industry veteran Richard Farb as director of business development to manage the office. The company, a subsidiary of American Software Inc., also said it hired Linda Chase as director of sales for the western region.
In a statement earlier today, NGC said the launch of the New York office, to be located at 1412 Broadway, is aimed at serving the sewn products industry, which includes the apparel, footwear and home goods segments. The company offers a variety of products, including global sourcing and supply chain management technology. Farb previously held positions at Lectra Systems and was also chief executive officer at street wear supplier The Edge.
Regarding the western region appointment, NGC said Chase brings 13 years of experience in technology sales and service to the position. Previous, Chase held posts at Daffy Swimwear, the Beverly Hills Polo Club, Carushka Bodywear and B. Boston.
“In her current position, Chase will be responsible for directing all sales activities in California and the western states for New Generation Computing,” the company said in a statement.
