Phillips-Van Heusen Corp. is ready to start using the European savvy it picked up in its May acquisition of Tommy Hilfiger.
The Tommy Hilfiger Group is establishing a new division, PVH Europe, to take control of the Arrow brand in Europe and to introduce other PVH brands to the market.
Michael Arts, executive vice president of global brand management for Tommy Hilfiger, will take on the additional title of president of PVH Europe and lead the division.
Fred Gehring, chief executive officer of Tommy Hilfiger and PVH International, said, “Since joining forces with PVH…we have studied the opportunities for international expansion of PVH’s most iconic brands, using Europe as a starting point. We strongly believe in the global potential for the Arrow brand.”
