Seth R. Johnson will be the seventh nominee to stand for election at the Christopher & Banks Corp. annual meeting of stockholders.

The annual meeting is scheduled for June 30.

The women’s specialty retailer reached an agreement with activist investor Macellum Capital Management last month. Under the terms of the “support agreement,” the retail chain will nominate four independent director candidates. The three that were named last month were: Jonathan Duskin, chief executive officer of Macellum; Kent Kleeberger, an independent consultant to some private equity firms and former chief operating officer of Chico’s FAS Inc., and Laura Weil, founder of consultancy firm Village Lane Advisory and former C-level executive at New York & Co., Ashley Stewart, Ann Taylor and American Eagle Outfitters. The fourth, Johnson, was the agreed upon candidate by both the retailer and the activist.

Current board members Mark Cohn, Edwin Holman, Anne Jones, David Levin, Paul Snyder and Patricia Stensrud will not run for reelection. Incumbent directors who will stand for reelection are: Lisa Wardell, chairman; LuAnn Via, president and ceo, and William Sharpe. Following the election, the number of board members will decrease to seven from nine.

Johnson has served on the board of Bebe Stores since July 2014, and on the board of Tilly’s Inc. since April 2011. He was also a lead director of True Religion from 2010 to 2013. He was formerly ceo of Pacific Sunwear of California from 2005 to 2006, and the former chief operating officer of Abercrombie & Fitch Co. from 1999 to 2004 and its chief financial officer from 1992 to 1998.
