Storefront has raised $7.3 million in a Series A fundraising round.
The site connects merchants and designers with available retail space, including showrooms to boutiques to booths at street fairs.
Launched last year, thestorefront.com has connected over 1,000 merchants in New York and San Francisco with retail space. It expands to Los Angeles today.
The Series A round was led by Spark Capital. It includes as an investor Vikram Pandit, the former chief executive officer of Citigroup Inc. The company previously raised $1.6 million in a seed round that was led by Mohr Davidow Ventures and Great Oaks Venture Capital.
The company is led by ceo Erik Eliason.
Storefront said its customers include brands such as Google and Nike, artist Kanye West and retailer Indochino.
Storefront is a graduate of startup accelerator AngelPad.
