BERLIN — Fragrance and flavors maker Symrise posted a 31 percent increase in third-quarter net profits to 38.4 million euros, or $49.5 million.
Revenues at the Holzminden, Germany-based company grew 16.4 percent to 410.2 million euros, or $529.2 million.
Symrise’s scent and care division showed a sales uptick of 19.9 percent, growing to 209.8 million euros, or $270.7 million. Dollar figures are converted from euros at average exchange rates for the period.
“The scent and care division in particular benefits from an increased demand in the luxury segment,” stated Heinz-Jürgen Bertram, Symrise’s chief executive officer.
