PARIS — Symrise AG’s net profits for the first nine months of the year rose 11 percent to 139.9 million euros, or $184.3 million, spurred by growth in both of its divisions — scent and care, and flavor and nutrition — and all geographic regions.

Sales in the period for the Holzminden, Germany-based company gained 6.2 percent to 1.4 billion euros, or $1.85 million. Revenues in emerging markets increased 11 percent.

Its scent and care division’s sales were up 9.8 percent to 736.3 million euros, or $969.7 million.

Dollar figures are converted at average exchange for the nine months ended Sept. 30.

“For the remaining weeks of 2013, we are confident on the continuation of Symrise’s robust development. We plan to once again grow faster than the market and end the fiscal year as one of the most profitable companies in the industry,” said Heinz-Jürgen Bertram, chief executive officer of Symrise.
