BERLIN — Symrise AG’s fourth-quarter net profits increased 3 percent to 32.4 million euros, or $44.9 million.  


In the three months to Dec. 31, sales at the Holzminden, Germany-based maker of fragrance and flavors rose 3.3 percent to 429.2 million euros, or $669.8 million. 


The firm’s scent and care division’s revenues gained 5.6 percent to 224.2 million euros, or $305.1 million.

Symrise’s full-year 2013 net profits increased 9 percent to 172.3 million euros, or $228.8 million.  Group revenues gained 5.5 percent to 1.83 billion euros, or $2.5 billion.


The company’s scent and care division registered sales of 960.4 million euros, or $1.28 billion, up 8.8 percent.


For 2014, Symrise anticipates sales growth of 2 percent to 3 percent and an EBITDA margin of around 20 percent.
