PARIS – Publishing-to-agribusiness group Tagor said it has acquired a 49 percent stake in Paris-based fashion label Requiem from co-founder Raffaele Borriello for an undisclosed sum.
Borriello and Julien Desselle, designers who met working at Gucci Group, founded Requiem in 2005. Desselle left the label in 2009.
Requiem has moved into a new studio and atelier at 11 Rue Saint Florentin, where it will present its fall-winter collection on March 3. The label is sold in the U.S., France, Italy, Britain, Russia and the Middle East.
Founded by Thierry Leger and Nadir Medjkoune in 2003, Tagor has four areas of activity: publishing and specialized press for aviation companies and the tourism industry; IT and video games; agribusiness; and the fashion industry, including ready-to-wear producer JMJ.
