NEW YORK — Los Angeles-based Tarrant Apparel Group reported it raised $4 million in a public offering of 1.2 million shares of its common stock at a price of $3.35 a share, sold to an institutional investor. Investment bank Sanders Morris Harris managed the offering. Gerard Guez, Tarrant’s chairman and chief executive officer, said, “We are pleased to find that we have more institutional investors interested in our stock and this placement helps further strengthen our capital base.”
