PARIS — French retail group Vivarte placed an offer Wednesday night with the commercial court here to take over nine Virgin stores, the company said.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Vivarte said it had been in discussions with Virgin for numerous weeks.
If the deal goes through, the Virgin stores in question will be rebranded Mode La Halle. They do not include the Virgin megastore located on Paris’ Avenue des Champs-Elysées.
Vivarte’s cradle of more than 20 brands and retail banners includes Kookaï, Naf Naf and Chevignon. The company is headed by Marc Lelandais.
