Fabrini, who starts on Monday, was previously senior vice president of beauty, watches and eyewear at Burberry, where he also served as a member of the executive management committee. Before, he was in senior executive roles at Gucci, Bally and Bulgari, and earlier, worked for the likes of L’Orèal, Johnson & Johnson and Unilever.
Fabrini joins Aerin at a time of continued growth. The brand launched with a beauty line and has since expanded with accessories, fragrance, home decor and a freestanding store in Southampton, N.Y. The brand also wholesales in stores such as Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Lane Crawford, Saks Fifth Avenue and Harrods.
“As we look to the future of Aerin, Alessandro’s experience as a global executive will play a critical role in our growth,” said Lauder. “His proven track record and expertise in luxury is the catalyst we need to further develop the brand and foster its expansion around the world.”
Fabrini added that he was drawn to the opportunity to “partner with Aerin to grow the business and create greater awareness of her brand.”
