Cosmetic brush business Anisa International Inc. has signed celebrity makeup artist Stephen Moleski as senior director of artistry.
In his role, Moleski will collaborate with chief executive officer Anisa Telwar Kaicker to develop products and on educational tutorial sets that aim to help simplify makeup application. Anisa, headquartered in Atlanta, makes makeup brushes and related products, including nail tools, brush cleansers and brush storage bags.
Moleski will meet with Anisa’s clients — which include Sephora, Laura Mercier, Hourglass, Bare Escentuals, Kevin Aucoin and Smashbox — to help design and communicate how to use various makeup brushes. Public video tutorials will be coming soon, he said.
“We’re a one-stop shop as far as executing brushes on a high level for all our vendors,” Moleski said. “I know all age ranges of and how women … use their brushes, so I can at the very beginning get a grasp on how that tool really will play out.”
Moleski — who is best known for his smoky-eye look and has more than 17 years of professional beauty industry experience — has done makeup for celebrities including Kim Kardashian, Chrissy Teigen, Mel B., Nicole Scherzinger, Julianne Hough, Adrienne Bailon, Nadia Bjorlin and Kim Zolciak. Moleski’s work has been featured on E! News, “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” “The Girls Next Door,” “Extra,” “America’s Got Talent,” “American Idol” and “The Insider.”
“I love working with makeup and empowering women to achieve professional looks on their own,” said Moleski in a statement. “Anisa and I share the same passion for what we do. We put 150 percent of ourselves into our work, and in return, I think this will elevate our brands into something extraordinary.”
“It’s really a perfect partnership that we collaborate because we’re both building and elevating our brands naturally,” Moleski said.
“Stephen is a celebrity makeup artist with an edge for glamour,” said Kaicker in a statement. “His passion for his work and entrepreneurial spirit make him a great fit for our team.”
