LONDON — Anya Hindmarch has appointed Jason Brown as the new president for its operations in Japan.
Brown, who has over 25 years experience in managerial positions for brands such as the LVMH-owned jewelry label Fred Jason, Saint Laurent and Hermès, is replacing former president Masayoshi Kitada, following his retirement. He will be reporting directly to Anya Hindmarch chief executive officer Helen Wright and has also joined the company’s executive committee.
“Jason is a highly experienced practitioner in luxury brand building with an international perspective. In his previous roles he has applied his sophisticated management and leadership expertise to deliver consistent and excellent results. He has wonderful interpersonal skills and will lead our team and our business in Japan to ever greater performance and success.”
The appointment is effective immediately and Brown will be based in Tokyo.
In 2014, Anya Hindmarch regained controlled of its operations in Japan which were previously franchised, as part of a strategic move to reinforce the brand’s global presence. There are 26 Anya Hindmarch stores in the country, including an e-commerce shop, flagships in Tokyo’s Ginza and Aoyama districts and concessions in key department stores.
