Beth Pritchard, former president of Bath & Body Works, has joined the board of Borderfree Inc., expanding the number of directors to eight.
Pritchard, currently a principal and strategic adviser to Sunrise Beauty Studio, spent 12 years with L Brands, formerly Limited Brands, in posts including president and chief executive officer of Bath & Body Works and ceo of Victoria’s Secret Beauty. Her career has also included a tenure as president and ceo of Dean & DeLuca and, more recently, as North American adviser to The Alshaya Group, which operates more than 2,600 stores in the Middle East, North Africa, Russia, Turkey and Europe on behalf of more than 70 brands.
“Beth’s expertise advising and leading major brands will be a great asset to our clients and shareholders,” said Michael DeSimone, ceo of Borderfree. “Aside from her demonstrated ability to drive growth, Beth is a recognized pioneer in taking U.S. retailers global, making her an excellent fit for Borderfree.”
Pritchard also is a director of The Vitamin Shoppe, Cabela’s and Loblaw Cos. Ltd.
New York-based Borderfree specializes in cross-border e-commerce, assisting brands in 100 countries and territories and doing business in more than 60 currencies. The firm completed an initial public offering in March and trades on the Nasdaq.
DeSimone is the only non-independent director on the company’s board.
