Bulgari has tapped Carla Liuni as global vice president marketing and communication, WWD has learned. This is a new position and effective Nov. 1. Liuni will report to Jean-Christophe Babin, chief executive officer of the Rome-based firm.
Liuni was most recently vice president or the Prestige Business Unit — Fashion and Luxury at Procter & Gamble, a company she first joined in 1997 after a first stint at Johnson & Johnson.
Within Procter & Gamble, after experiences in Germany, London, Geneva and Singapore, where she was regional managing director of Asia-Pacific for the Prestige Division, in 2012 Liuni returned to Geneva and was promoted to global general manager of the Prestige Business Unit, in charge of the entire portfolio of 15 brands, including Gucci, Lacoste and Hugo Boss, among others.
