SoCozy has named Denise James to lead its sales and business development, effective immediately.
Coming in with children’s expertise due to her previous role as vice president of sales and business development at Mustela, James will be responsible for all aspects of SoCozy’s sales functions and revenue growth by developing and managing the company’s go-to-market initiatives for sales, distribution and overall business development. James will report to SoCozy founder, Cozy Friedman and Scott Gurfein, SoCozy’s managing partner.
During her tenure at Mustela, James pioneered a new Premium Baby category within a multichannel distribution strategy and successfully partnered with many U.S.-based retailers including Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Buy Buy Baby, Babies R Us, CVS, Walgreens and Amazon.com, among others.
Prior to joining Mustela, James was a sales manager at L’Oréal within its Active Cosmetics Division, where she managed the New York and Connecticut markets for La Roche-Posay.
