Damien Bertrand

PARIS Christian Dior Couture appointed Damien Bertrand as managing director in charge of women’s departments, a newly created position.

Bertrand joined the Paris-based fashion house, effective Aug. 25, from L’Oréal group where he held successive roles for over eighteen years, including chief executive officer of L’Oréal U.K.; president of Maybelline New York and ceo of L’Oréal Brazil.

He began his career at LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton in 1998 as Guerlain’s marketing director for Australia. “His experience in brand development and international team management will contribute to the Dior brand’s expansion around the world,” stated Sidney Toledano, chief executive officer at Christian Dior Couture.
